SUPPORTING THE BLACK COMMUNITY

50% OF PROCEEDS FROM LIVESIMPLE COLLECTION TO BE DONATED TO NAACP

We are female business owners. We have witnessed the Black Lives Matter movement from different lenses and life
experiences, but with the same conviction that as a black owned business, we must do something meaningful to address
racial injustice. We expressed our sentiments on the tragic losses of life that sparked protests the world over
in a statement, which you can read below. We are also inviting you to join us in contributing financially to a cause near
and dear to our hearts. We are committing 50% of net proceeds from the sale of our new LiveSimple
collection
to the NAACP Legal Defence and Education Fund. We hope you will join us by shopping our newest collection
of everyday canvas bags and accessories.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR LEADERSHIP

Dear friends, family, customers and fellow business owners,

We are poised at a very crucial moment as a global community. These weeks have been heartbreaking and painful with profound sadness. Despite these difficult moments, we need to come together and collectively call out the injustices we have witnessed and demand equality for all. We cannot be silent and we cannot become numb to the realities of the systemic racism that is part of our social fabric and impacts Black men and women every day.

We all deserve the right to be respected and to be treated with dignity. When history looks back on 2020, will we see active and monumental steps to change the narrative of social inequity in our nations? I pray that we will be a participant, even if it feels uncomfortable or we struggle to find the right words. I know that I am struggling every day to find the words to express how I feel. But history is calling us to proudly and collectively stand up for what is right. The time is now. The unfair harassment, the racial profiling and the senseless murders must stop.

But as a practical optimist, I never wish to lose my sense of hope that tomorrow will be better than yesterday. Many are grieving quietly. But we must be activists and supporters of human rights with more than our hearts. Our voices must profess the injustices that continue in Black communities daily and for the sake of those who no longer have a voice. We ALL have a part to play in the transformation of change needed. It starts today… one conversation at a time…pledging to understanding the layers of pain experienced by our friends and colleagues and openly vowing to be part of the solution.

Friends, family, customers and fellow business owners, I’m asking you to join me in taking a stand, showing solidarity and demanding that we all have the right to be treated fairly and to enjoy our lives peacefully.

My deepest and sincerest regards and please be safe and well.

Sonja and Aynsley
